Dog Friendly Fall Activities in Georgia

We couldn't be more excited the hot weather finally ended in Atlanta! It's not exactly sweater weather, but it's perfect for adventures. We love to head north to the mountains to catch the leaves changing color and enjoy the fall activities. Here's a list of fun fall activities you can do with the whole family! Even if you don't live in Georgia, I am sure you can find similar Fall activities in your state.

Go Apple Picking

At B. J. Reece Apple House and Orchard, you can take your dog into their orchards to go apple picking. You can pick your own apples to take home until October 27th or until they are picked out. Maybe this year I will even attempt to make an apple pie with them. Please note the weekends get very busy and dogs are not allowed in the market. Find more information here.

Try Camping or Glamping

No better way to explore the outdoors!

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Big Springs Farm has a plethora of pumpkins from large to small in different varieties. It is free to enter and a great place to take Fall photos. There are many other fall activities, find more information here.

Explore a Hiking trail

There are many dog friendly trail options! Our favorites so far are Preacher’s Rock and Amicalola Falls State Park. Here’s a list to conquer this fall.

Find a Winery (or Brewery)

What’s better than wine while enjoying scenic mountain view’s? Nothing! We always explore a new winery or brewery every time we drive to North Georgia. Last weekend, we discovered Big Door Vineyards. It’s certainly worth stopping and having a glass or two!

Let us know what your favorite activities are during Fall!
